Two Electric Mountain Bike Rides to Try in Tignes

The route

A gentle climb toward Chardonnet via the E-Zyride trail, followed by the Chardon’Up trail, which runs alongside mountain lakes before joining the Rocky Trail. The Rocky Trail alternates between gravel slopes, narrow and rocky sections (particularly near Chaudannes), and fast stretches crossing meadows above the reservoir.

The descent ends with a shaded ridge line, featuring tree roots and natural turns, as it joins the Wonderboisses trail all the way to Tignes 1800. Option: Continue on to Tignes les Brévières for a break (trail runs parallel to the road) or take the shuttle back.

The Course

Start by heading to the GaraTfresse e-MTB trail, which leads to the top of the Fresse chairlift. Then continue on the Blue Lagoon trail, followed by the Flowy Jumper trail—two fun and accessible blue downhill trails that will take you all the way to Val d’Isère through idyllic mountain scenery.

From Val d’Isère, continue the adventure by heading to the Bellevarde plateau via the Val Pesto (green) and Into the Wild (red) e-MTB trails —two fun and sometimes technical routes. At the top of the “Into the Wild” trail, you have two options:

1. If you’re tired or short on time, head to the Col de Fresse via the Blue Lagoon (blue) downhill run, then return to Val Claret via the must-try Tarentaise Airline (blue) downhill run.
2. If you still have the energy and desire to reach the summit of Bellevarde, head down the Very Bike Trip enduro trail (black—accessible, more like red), a technical and fun enduro route, and make your way to the start of the Freezy e-MTB trail (black). This climb will take you to the summit of Bellevarde. The descent to the base of the Borsat chairlift can then be done via several routes, depending on your preference:
   • The downhill runs: Popeye (green), Flowy Jumper (blue), Fast Wood (red), or Bellev’hard (black)
   • The combination of the Rock’n Ride (red) and Tabasco (red) trails—a true mountain enduro course

At the base of the Borsat chairlift, you once again have two options:

1. Take the chairlift to gain 400 meters in elevation and reach the Col de Fresse
2. Do you still have some energy and battery life left? If so, head back up to the Col de Fresse via the iconic “Fée Magique” and “Borsalino” trails.

Once you reach the Col de Fresse, head to the must-try Tarentaise Airline downhill run (blue) for a smooth descent into Val Claret.
