Are you looking for a ski resort that opens in November to enjoy a preview of great skiing sessions? Tignes is the place to be with its superb slopes, ideal for all skiing enthusiasts: skiers and snowboarders will find a wide choice of slopes, and a training ground for many champions!
A rare ski resort open in November, Tignes and its formidable domain give you the opportunity to put on your skis before everyone else and to enjoy fabulous sensations: the first tracks on the mythical Double M piste, linking the Grande Motte glacier and Tignes Val Claret: 1400 metres of vertical drop await you, for a ski in ski out return to the resort!
In Tignes, each sector opens progressively according to the snowfall, allowing you to ski from 3,456 m (arrival of the cable car on the Grande Motte glacier) to 1,550 m (Brévières village). In total, at the height of the season, enjoy 300 kms of slopes in the linked area of Tignes - Val d'Isère! The ski resort is open in April, and until May for the high altitude area... enough to ski without restraint!
Tignes welcomes you as you begin your journey to learn to ski or snowboard. The beginners areas were designed to help you learn by yourself or with the help of a professional, safely and calmly in specially created learning zones.
A cross-country skiing loop has been laid out on the shores of the frozen Tignes lake, between Val Claret and Tignes le Lac. It's a great way for beginners to discover cross-country skiing in a magnificent setting, and for more experienced skiers to work on their cardio with a series of ascents and descents at the foot of the Tufs at 2100m! A cross-country skiing sector has also been set up at Les Brévières, subject to snow conditions.
Free access - Trail shared between cross-country skiers and pedestrians.
