L'Aiguille Percée

A geological curiosity, the Aiguille Percée is so intriguing and fascinating that it has become an essential part of Tignes’ natural heritage.

A must-see

A unique geological formation, the Aiguille Percée couldn’t have had a better name. A naturally-formed arch, it is a must-see in Tignes and one of the resort’s most visited and Instagrammable sites.

Situated at an altitude of 2,778 meters, its location also makes it a must-see, offering views of Tignes and its surrounding peaks. The nearby orientation table offers an exceptional 360° view.

Accessible in summer…

In summer, Aguille Percée can be reached on foot from Tignes le Lac. It is also possible to reach a more advanced departure point by taking the “Palafour” ski lift.

The hike is classified as difficult, however, due to the stony, mountain-type terrain.

…and in winter!

In winter, two lifts take you directly to the Aiguille Percée:

  1. The “Aiguille Percée” chairlift, which is easy to reach once you’ve taken the ‘Palafour’ chairlift (from Tignes le Lac) or the “Grand Huit” chairlift (from Tignes Val Claret).
  2. The “Marais” chairlift can be reached from the Les Boisses gondola arrival area, or by following the ‘Rhododendron’ piste from the “Chaudannes” chairlift.

Unfortunately, the Aiguille Percée remains inaccessible to pedestrians in winter. You’ll have to come back in summer!
