Tignes, the first French ski resort to open
With guaranteed snow cover, a high altitude and unrivalled expertise, Tignes is the first of France’s ski resorts to open its ski area. From November onwards, you can enjoy the first ski runs of the season. The iconic Grande Motte glacier, which is well covered in snow from October onwards, allows skiers to get back into the swing of things quickly at the start of the season, and even to enjoy their first run with a vertical drop of over 1,300 metres down to Tignes Val Claret.

Meet us on the morning of 21 November when the lifts open to enjoy a day’s skiing in the Tignes ski area*. You’ll be able to rediscover the thrill of gliding across the snow and brag about being one of the first to ski!
