Getting to Tignes
Wherever you start from, it’s easy to get to Tignes.
Taking the road? Be aware that the last stretch between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Tignes is the most likely to be snow-covered, but also the most regularly maintained and passable in winter, thanks to an efficient snow-clearing service. You should also pay attention to the indications given by your GPS: for example, road passes are closed in winter due to their impassability.
Coming by train? The nearest station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Once you’ve reached the terminus, you can take the special bus service to the resort of Tignes. Depending on your arrival or departure time, you may need a cab. You’ll find details of Tignes cab companies in our directory.
