As you will have noticed, if you want to ski in April and May, it's best to choose high-altitude resorts in order to take advantage of sufficient good quality snow. Rising between 1,550 m and 3,450 m, the slopes of Tignes are ideal for your spring skiing holidays. Even better, where most high altitude resorts close their slopes in mid-April, Tignes remains open until the beginning of May. Our resort has one of the best snow conditions in the world!
There's CHILL, FUN and above all SKI, welcome to Tignes. The resort is launching its very first SPRING BREAK! From 21 April to 5 May, come and enjoy the end of the season, the beginning of spring, longer days, snow, slopes and aperitifs on the terrace!
The whole resort will be playing the prologations. 3 weeks, to finish the "winter" season in beauty, to disconnect, to recharge your batteries and to have fun. Live a summit experience with spring skiing on the linked domain of Tignes Val-d'Isère, animations to share with families and friends... cinema sessions, après-ski, concerts, Dj's on the terrace, a pool party... but above all, offers of reduced prices to break the gloom.
The party continues. Embark on 3 weeks of vitamin-packed fun. You won't have time to get bored.
Because welcoming you in the best conditions is non-negotiable, from 15 April to 6 May, the resort is putting on a special show with tasting events, special menus at reduced prices, outdoor meals, culinary workshops...
Taste the best waffles on a deckchair facing the Grande Motte. It's possible.
Free ski passes for children under 8 years old & preferential rates up to and including 18 years old + unmissable offers for the end of the season.
For Spring Break, there are also offers on equipment hire and rates on ski lessons.
Make sure you check out the Tignes Reservation reflex to discover combined offers for accommodation + ski passes + access to the aquatic centre.
The Tignes ski area is ideally located in the heart of the Vanoise National Park at an altitude of between 1,550 and 3,450 metres. An optimal geographical situation allowing the winter season to be extended every year until spring. In fact, the Tignes area enjoys sufficient snow conditions right up to the last moment to be able to ski in spring with peace of mind in April and even into May, thanks to its altitude of course, but also thanks to the Grande Motte Glacier situated at over 3000 metres with the presence of eternal snow.*
To sum up, skiing in spring in Tignes is the assurance of being able to ski thanks to the natural snow still present on the domain and this until the beginning of May! This is evidenced by the fact that the Black Shoes telemark event has been organised every year since 1992, where good humour and festivities meet perfectly with the atmosphere of spring skiing!
*Tignes is one of the few French ski areas to open in summer thanks to its Glacier
Coming to enjoy the Tignes ski area in the spring also means peace of mind, with less traffic than in February during the school holidays, for example. You will be able to explore and enjoy the area freely, with less waiting at the lifts, less stress on the slopes and more room on the terraces of the mountain restaurants!
It is also an opportunity for beginners to learn or improve their skiing skills in complete peace of mind. And why not try some new activities? Ski touring to see the area from a new angle, sledging with friends or family, ice diving, paragliding, microlighting, etc.
Not a skier? The mountains are open to you! In spring, the lower number of visitors in the area offers you new perspectives! Take the time to relax on the terrace, whether at altitude or in the heart of the resort. The longer days and milder temperatures give you the opportunity to go for a nice walk at altitude to take a big breath of fresh air and admire the panorama!
At the end of the day, it's time to go out and have fun and take part in the many après-ski events organised in the resort: have a drink (or two) on the terrace with your friends and enjoy the musical and festive atmosphere until the sun sets!
