In summer, several ski lifts remain open, notably at Tignes le Lac (Palafour and Paquis) and Val Claret (Fresse and Tufs). They give visitors access to hiking trails, mountain bike trails at the Tignes Bike Park or simply to enjoy exceptional views of the peaks. Summer lifts are unlimited with the My Tignes card. Pedestrians can effortlessly climb to the top of the mountain, while mountain bikers can take their bikes with them thanks to the facilities provided. Pets, kept on a lead, are permitted on the funicular only.
In winter, ski lifts serve the Tignes – Val d’Isère ski area, one of the largest in the Alps. More than 300km of pistes are accessible thanks to around seventy lifts (chairlifts, gondolas, surface lifts, funiculars and the Perce Neige cable car), suitable for all levels of skier, from beginner to expert.
The lifts are open to a wide range of users, from skiers and snowboarders to pedestrians, thanks to some specially signposted facilities. People with reduced mobility benefit from special facilities at several of the lifts (easier boarding, trained staff).
