The World Cup
The Para-Alpine Ski World Cup is a circuit of international Para-Alpine ski competitions for athletes with disabilities. It enables athletes to compete at the highest world level in events such as slalom, giant, super-G and downhill.
Les athlètes sont des personnes en situation de handicap physique ou visuel. Les épreuves sont donc organisées selon leurs besoins spécifiques. Il existe trois catégories :
- Stand up
- Sitting
- Visually impaired (athletes are accompanied by a guide)
Organized by the FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski), these competitions take place in various resorts, including Tignes, from February 2 to 6, 2026.
This Para-Alpine Skiing World Cup stage is important for the athletes who will be taking part in the Milan-Cortina Paralympic Winter Games. It enables them to measure their performance against the world’s elite.
In short, this competition showcases the talent and determination of disabled skiers, while helping to promote handisport at international level.
Last but not least, as the final stage of the 2025-2026 season, Tignes will be awarded the Crystal Globes for downhill and super-G.
