With a selection of almost 100 films in competition and the presence of renowned guests from the mountain world, this festival’s mission is to celebrate and highlight the world of outdoor sports, adventure and the mountains. The program
Saturday 24 October – 18:00
In the Void
When every turn takes shape just a few meters from the edge of the abyss, skiing becomes an art.
“À Bord du Vide” is a four-minute ode to steep-slope skiing, featuring Aurélien Lardy.
Through a poetic approach, the film celebrates the beauty of movement, the dedication required to navigate extreme terrain, and the intimate connection that forms between the skier and the mountain.
The Svalbard Journal
In the heart of Svalbard, in the Arctic, a small team of skiers travels along the coast by sailboat in search of fresh snow and routes that have yet to be explored. But here, everything is dictated by the terrain: changeable weather, unstable snowpack, isolation, and little room for error.
*The Svalbard Journal* is not a film about conquering peaks. It is an intimate reflection on how to navigate the mountains, read the conditions, listen to the terrain, and accept that in the high mountains, nature always has the final say.
Peoples on the Brink
A journey into the heart of the Afghan mountains
On the border of Afghanistan, in some of the most remote mountains in the world, two peoples are striving to maintain their balance in the face of profound changes.
On his bike, Cédric Tassan sets out to meet the Hazaras, a long-persecuted Shiite people, and the Wakhis, who remain relatively isolated but are increasingly exposed to the upheavals of the outside world.
Saturday 31 October – 18:00
Echoes
Where light ends, imagination begins.
As children, many of us heard this slightly crazy idea: if you dig deep enough, you might end up in China.
Echoes draws on this childhood memory to imagine a journey between two worlds that are opposites yet intimately linked: the verticality of mountain peaks and the infinite depths of the underground world.
Just Climber
Dare or No Dare
Watching her climb almost makes it seem like everything is easy. Yet Solenne Piret is about to take on one of the greatest challenges of her career.
Born without a right hand and a four-time world climbing champion, she has always found her own way to make her way up the wall. This time, she’s heading to the Mont Blanc massif to lead climb the legendary Grand Capucin, placing her own protection as she goes.
Convergence
Between Trails and Oceans
Mathieu Blanchard, an ultra-trail runner and adventurer, sets sail alongside skipper Conrad Colman on an extraordinary journey between the ocean and the mountains.
From the vastness of the Atlantic to the rugged terrain of Martinique, the two men leave their familiar terrain behind to face a different world, new challenges, and their own limits.
