A Savoie ski resort in the heart of the Alps

Nestling in Savoie, in the heart of the French Alps, the ski resort of Tignes welcomes you for a mountain holiday combining nature, sport and relaxation. Located in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley and at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, it offers the ideal setting for enjoying winter sports with family and friends. The resort is open from November to May, thanks to its high altitude, which guarantees quality snow cover throughout the season.

Renowned for its dynamism and diversity of activities, Tignes is a complete winter sports resort. Linked to Val d’Isère, it forms one of the largest ski areas in Europe, offering a wide variety of pistes to suit all levels, as well as areas dedicated to freeride and freestyle, for a holiday full of thrills.

A large-scale ski area for all enthusiasts

The Tignes – Val d’Isère ski area covers more than 300 kilometres of marked pistes between 1,550 m and 3,456 m altitude. It caters for all types of skier: beginners, families and experienced sportsmen and women. As well as the classic pistes, there are fun zones, a snowpark, a gliss’park and a vast off-piste area.

You can choose a ski pass to suit the length of your stay and your desires, whether you’re looking for performance or discovery. Thanks to its modern ski lifts and its many pistes, Tignes stands out as the essential ski resort in France for experiencing winter in the mountains to the full.

A family-friendly ski resort that’s active all year round

Tignes is also a family resort, designed for all ages. In winter, children can enjoy play areas and specially adapted ski lessons. In summer, Tignes offers a wide range of mountain activities: hiking, mountain biking, kayaking or pedal-boating on the lake, or even thrilling activities. The bike park attracts many enthusiasts, with 220 kilometres of pistes dedicated to downhill, enduro and electrically-assisted mountain biking.

The mountains become a huge playground, with snow-capped peaks and lush green slopes. This wealth of activities makes Tignes much more than just a winter resort.

A mountain holiday punctuated by entertainment and conviviality

Tignes is alive with events all year round: international ski and snowboard competitions, festivals, concerts and cultural events. There’s always a reason to come or return. The resort also offers a comprehensive range of accommodation and services: hotels, residences, restaurants, shops and activity providers.

Tignes is one of the most complete ski resorts in Savoie, combining the pleasure of sport, a warm atmosphere and an exceptional natural setting. Easily accessible, it attracts holidaymakers from all over France and Europe every year.
