After 40 years of service, the ‘Société des Téléphériques de la Grande Motte’ is investing in a large-scale improvement plan.
The Grande Motte glacier is remaining open to pedestrians through the funicular from August 13th to 28th 2016. Enjoy the view at 3032m!
Prices from 13th to 28th August 2016: adult €10, child €5.
Walk on the glacier and mountaineering
These activities will remain available for the high-mountain guides customers until August 28th (access thanks to the funicular and a tracked vehicle).
Grande Motte ascent: €79*
Walk on the glacier: €49*.

There are specific lift passes for pedestrians! Take the funicular and stop by the terrace of the Panoramic restaurant before heading to the cable car to enjoy the view on the famous peaks and mountains around: the Mont Pourri, ridges of the Grande Sassière, the Grande Casse (highest point of La Vanoise: altitude of 3,856 metres) and of course the majestic Mont Blanc (in the distance).
You are in a national nature reserve, at the periphery of the Vanoise National Park (www.parcnational-vanoise.fr).
Warning: you are in a glacier area, so don’t forget to ask a high-mountain guide for their advice to enjoy the glacier to the most!
