An anthology jump!
To round off the week of the Mountain Shaker festival, Tignes is hosting two Freeski World Cup stages in the Slopestyle and Big Air disciplines. For the latter, Tignes is even offering the last stage of the season, synonymous with the Grand Final, which will see the best male and female athletes win the famous Cristal Globe. This is the most prestigious prize awarded each World Cup season.
Everyone is welcome to come and cheer on the riders and have a great time in the partners’ village. There’ll be partner stands, games and entertainment, a refreshment bar and a stage… so you can look forward to a great evening and a great atmosphere, just the way we like it!
What is big air ?
Big Air is a freestyle discipline practised on skis or snowboard. The aim is for athletes to launch themselves from a jump and perform tricks in the air. A single bump is used for the competition, unlike slopestyle which has several modules, bumps and rails spread over a course.
