An anthology jump!
To round off the week-long Mountain Shaker festival, Tignes hosts two stages of the Freeskiing World Cup, featuring the Slopestyle and Big Air disciplines. For the latter, Tignes even offers the last stage of the season, synonymous with the Grand Finale, which will see the best male and female athletes win the famous Globe de Cristal. The most prestigious prize awarded at the end of each World Cup season.
Everyone is welcome to cheer on the riders and have a good time in the partner village. On site: partner stands, games and entertainment, refreshments, stage… a great evening in a great atmosphere, just the way we like it!
By the way, what is big air?
Big Air is a freestyle discipline practiced on skis or snowboard. The aim is for athletes to launch themselves from a jump and perform tricks in the air. A single bump is shaped for competition, unlike slopestyle, which has several modules, bumps and rails spread over a course.
