I’m proud that France will be hosting the 2027 Para ski-alpine World Championships in Tignes, an emblematic resort with undeniable experience in organizing major sporting events, with which we’ve worked closely for many years. This will be a unique opportunity to showcase the talent of Les Bleus to the world. Beyond the competition, I hope that this event will inspire future generations and inspire young people to follow in the footsteps of our champions.
Serge Revial expresses his enthusiasm
The resort of Tignes is very honored and we are very happy and proud to have been selected for these Para Alpine World Championships. Our history with handiskiing runs deep. It’s in line with our Tignes DNA: inclusion. It also puts the spotlight on our French handisport alpine ski team, which includes Lou Braz-Dagand and Oscar Burnham, who will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on the slopes of Tignes.

The Region, which is particularly committed to disability in all its public policies, is delighted to be hosting an international para-alpine skiing competition, particularly in the run-up to the 2030 Olympic Games. It’s an opportunity to give visibility to these extraordinary athletes by promoting their sporting performance, and to contribute to changing the way people look at disability.
Oscar Burnham
I’m delighted that Tignes, the resort where I grew up, is hosting these Worlds. I know the slopes of the Stade de Lognan by heart. I’ve been skiing at the Club des Sports de Tignes since I was 6. Tignes has always been a welcoming and training ground for disabled athletes. This is a continuation of that. Skiing at home is an extra source of motivation for me, and it makes me even more keen to put on a show and make my family proud.
