Rescue in the ski area

Because safety is a priority, Tignes does everything it can to provide a safe and secure ski area for everyone, every day.

Please note that there is a charge for rescue services.

Check your insurance before setting off on the pistes.

In France, you have to pay for ski rescue services. Although ski patrols are obviously called out as soon as the alarm is sounded after an accident, make sure you check your insurance before you hit the slopes! The cost of rescue services can quickly escalate (helicopter intervention, provision of special care, etc.). So, while you may already have insurance covering you for this type of accident, take the time to check all this before an accident occurs. Note that accidents don’t just happen to other people!

If you don’t have insurance to cover your skiing, don’t panic. You can take out insurance when you buy your ski pass (online or at the ticket office).
