Principal resort of the 1992 Paralympic Games, Tignes remains the benchmark in accessibility for skiers with disabilities. Working in close and continuous partnership with the French Disabled Skiing Federation for more than 20 years, the French Alpine and cross-country ski teams come to Tignes to train and compete throughout the year, especially in January during the Alpine Skiing World Cup for skiers with disabilities.
In fact, Tignes is a resort that is acutely aware of the potential difficulties people with disabilities face in accessing facilities and accommodation but also the joys of skiing.
