With its steep landscape, the Tignes area is a perfect spot for downhill mountain bike enthusiasts. It is possible to practice this complete and demanding sport in the heart of the big bike park of Tignes. You can ride down the 220 km of trails, thanks to the mountain bike lifts. As with skiing, the downhill mountain bike trails are of different levels of difficulty (green, blue, red, black and double black trails). The Tignes bike park is therefore suitable for beginners as well as for experienced downhillers!
You can rent your mountain bike and the necessary protective equipment on site. If you wish to be accompanied by a professional, several mountain bike schools are able to offer you an instructor who will teach you the right reflexes to adopt when practicing downhill mountain biking. He or she can also help you perfect your technique in this sensational sport.
