Born in 2021, the Xplore Alpes Festival is held every year during the first week of the All Saints' holiday in the heart of the Alps, in the Tarentaise valley in Savoie.
With a selection of almost 100 films in competition and the presence of renowned guests from the mountain world, the festival's mission is to celebrate and highlight the world of outdoor sports, adventure and the mountains. Each year, a jury of professionals awards 10 prizes to the best entries.
Once the festival is over, the best films go on tour under the Xplore Film Tour label.
Meet up at the open-air amphitheatre at Tignes le Lac (next to the Lagon) from 21:30.

This afternoon's deteriorating weather has resulted in the following closures:
BIKE PARK: All lifts + Tignes Val d'Isère link except Tovière, which remains open to pedestrians only.

It's already the third Mountain Shaker summer festival! A not-to-be-missed event this summer in Tignes, with a festive and sporting programme. No fewer than 6 competitions are being organised: 3 competitions open to all, 1 competition dedicated to the little ones, and 2 high-level competitions.
To kick off the festival in the best possible way, join us on 19 and 20 July at the outdoor skatepark in Tignes le Lac. A competition open to all skateboarders, scooterists and rollerbladers!

A reinforced and exceptional shuttle service will be set up for the occasion from 1:30 pm (1st departure from the Lac bus station) to 1:45 am (last departure from Les Brévières).
We strongly advise you to come early to Les Brévières, especially to watch the fireworks (10:30 pm), and to enjoy the ball afterwards, to avoid congestion on the south parking lot of Les Brévières and on the road.

This Thursday 10 July, from 6.45pm, head to the Tignes le Lac amphitheatre to watch the artistic performance of ‘Les Traceurs’, who will take you right up to the amphitheatre.
Rachid Ouramdane - Compagnie de Chaillot
"Les Traceurs is a long-distance adventure of variable geometry, an outdoor extension of the experiment carried out indoors by Corps extrêmes around practices that defy the laws of gravity. The result is a series of crossings, performed in particular by the great highliner Nathan Paulin, which stretch out fascinating poetic threads in different parts of the world".
Extreme tightrope walker Nathan Paulin crosses the lake, accompanied on shore by acrobats from Chaillot - Théâtre National de la Danse.
Spectators are also invited to follow the performance from the water sports centre to the lake amphitheatre for the finale.
The show is free and open to all as part of the Hautes Envolées dance festival in the Haute Tarentaise.
Les Traceurs and Corps extrêmes are two perfectly complementary versions of an ambitious project developed by Rachid Ouramdane based on sports and artistic practices that reflect the eternal human desire to take flight.
With Les Traceurs, aerial artists (acrobats, trapeze artists, etc.) and celestial athletes (highliners) are invited to perform at heights on remarkable sites - in both natural and urban settings. Over and above the eminently spectacular nature of these performances, the guiding principle is to bring out the sensitive aspect of their appropriation, to give a different perception of the places in which they take place, and to reveal the intimate relationship that each performer has with his or her own practice.
Since 2020, several performances have taken place in France (Grenoble, Annecy, Aussois, Paris, Sète) and abroad (Italy, Brazil). They have all been performed by Nathan Paulin, the undisputed highline record-holder, who can also be seen splitting the air in Corps extrêmes. A sound montage designed by Jean-Baptiste Julien and Rachid Ouramdane based on first-hand accounts accompanies these crossings, giving an in-depth insight into what drives him.
