The Virtus 2025 Alpine World Ski Championships will be held in Tignes from 30 March to 5 April. The main aim of this high-level international event, organised in France (the Virtus Nordic World Championships will be held in the resort of Bessans), is to contribute to the full inclusion of adapted para-skiing in the French Alps 2030 Paralympic Winter Games programme, by showcasing the quality and excellence of the skiing of international adapted skiers.

Virtus is now aiming for greater involvement in the Paralympic movement through the Virtus Global Games, which take place the year before each Paralympic Games.
Virtus governs, defends, organises and promotes elite sport for athletes with intellectual disabilities, intellectual disabilities with multiple disabilities such as Down's Syndrome or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
The French Federation of Adapted Sport (FFSA) is the multi-sport federation for people with mental or psychological disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders. It was founded in 1971.
By the end of July 2024, it had nearly 65,000 members, making it the largest federation of disabled sportspeople in France.
The FFSA is a Paralympic federation. Para adapted athletics, para adapted table tennis and para adapted swimming are the 3 sports accessible at the Summer Paralympic Games for our high-level athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The FFSA's main mission is to offer anyone with a mental or psychological disability or autism spectrum disorder - whatever their wishes, abilities and needs - the opportunity to pursue their passion for the sport of their choice in an environment dedicated to their enjoyment, performance, safety and the exercise of their citizenship in complete autonomy.
