an unusual lively place


A gourmet address, Le Kaya is a pleasant place whatever the time of day. It boasts breathtaking views of Tignes lake and a choice of simple gourmet dishes from around the world.

Located in the new Semper Vivens building, on the Tovière Promenade, Le Kaya is guaranteed to become an absolute must!  Ski in, ski out, Kaya (meaning place of life in Maya but also wealth in Indonesian and stone in Aztzec) is undoubtedly one of this season’s great innovations in Tignes! With its heated terrace, its warm interior and its wine bar, one will rapidly succumb to the charm of this new address. Heading the team, an inspired and passionate young couple. On the one hand, Tanguy Reymond, age 26, grandson of the couple who launched the first hotel in Tignes in 1958. On the other hand, Jules Baralo, age 24, graduate from Vatel and previously second chef at the Lux, 5* establishment in Mauritius. Head Chef at Le Kaya, his bold gourmet cuisine successfully combines marine influences and local products such as his irresistible Carpaccio of scallops in truffle cream.

Jules, Tanguy, what spirit did you want to create here?

 "We both studied luxury hospitality and catering, travelling to places such as the Seychelles, Ireland, Thailand and Bali. Having visited many inspiring establishments, the idea was to combine the best thing about each one, to create something totally unique. We have never visited this kind of place, it is a singular, personal creation that will surprise you. »


Art Gallery, concept store... what is different about Le Kaya?

 "More than a restaurant, Le Kaya is a lively place where the atmosphere changes throughout the day. Food lovers come here to feast, but aesthetes are not forgotten. We exhibit renowned artists and are developing a concept store, selling a range of products present on site, from Staub casserole dishes to Foil skis with solid gold bindings and Green Factory mini-gardens.”
