On 31 January, it’s ladies first! Competitors will battle it out on a brand new approved slope in the Tovière sector (the “Trolles” slope), a demanding run that promises a spectacular finish in the heart of the resort.
On 1 February, it’s the parallel slalom! This latest discipline to emerge in the world of Alpine skiing is just as popular with classic race competitors as it is among skiing novices. And it’s no wonder: this fun race format keeps up the suspense all the way to the finish!
The principle: the 32 best men and 32 best women, qualified after their performance in the morning events, race against one another for a 2-leg event (one each way) in a round of 32, then of 16, followed by a quarter final, a semi final, a third-place play-off and, of course, the final.
You too, come along to encourage the Tignes Sports Club skiers and all the other competitors!
Extra info: the Trolles slope may be injected with water for the Women’s Giant Slalom European Cup (depending on snow conditions).
Extra info: For the Men’s & Women’s Parallel Slalom European Cup, the Rosset slope will be partially injected 3 to 10 days before the competition.
The list of competitors will be revealed by the race committee on the day prior to the competition. Stay connected!
