A passion for all winter sports: how could it have been any different with a coach as a dad and the snowy surroundings of Tignes all around him since he was born at the heart of winter?
Johan learned how to ski before he could even walk (or almost!). He put on his first pair of skis "at 2 or 3", joined the Sports Club at 7 and quickly made his own way into the international arena. On his prize list? 4 podiums in World Cup in donwhill and 2 titles of Champion of France.
His busy schedule as an international competitor doesn't allow him to enjoy winter in Tignes anymore, but Johan Clarey remains faithfull to the traditional training sessions of the Skiing French Team on the Grande Motte glacier every fall. You may even walk into him at Tignespace: he is a frequent user of the weight room to get ready for the winter season, right before his first competitions.
