How can sport be a major lever of moral and physical recovery after an accident? Does it allow to overcome a trauma, to regain self-confidence, to acquire new skills and to set new personal goals? Who and what are the experts and structures capable of assisting people with disabilities in this process?
Surrounded by experts on the topic, athletes from the parasports world and war wounded share their stories. Poignant testimonies, serving as proof that sport is a tool for moral and physical recovery.
WEDNESDAY 30th of NOVEMBER from 6 pm to 8 pm
#2 DIPLOMACY THROUGH SPORT
Many times, History has proved that sport could act as a diplomatic tool. As a universal language, which rules are the same everywhere, its practice overcomes borders, political and cultural divides, and religious beliefs. Similarly, a sporting event can be an opportunity for different countries to discuss in a neutral framework, and can also be used for cooperative purposes. It offers a reason for interaction to conflicting nations, and the role of sport in the evolution of diplomatic practices cannot be denied. How does sport influence international relations?
THURSDAY 1st of DECEMBER from 5 pm to 7 pm
Sport teaches the values of solidarity, mutual aid, and active citizenship. Numerous organizations have understood the lever sport can be to attract and supervise youth at risk, to give them confidence, and to encourage them to become actors of their own lives and of society. What programmes are implemented in the field of “sport for education”, and what are their impacts? Involved structures and an athlete take the floor to share their experiences and expertise.
TUESDAY 29th, WEDNESDAY 30th of NOVEMBER, and THURSDAY 1st of DECEMBER from 10 am to 12 pm
Renowned athletes dedicate privileged time to students of local schools and universities, to transmit their vision of sport values within the framework of their disciplines, their careers, and their personal lives. Sport indeed represents a unique lever for the positive transformation of the individual in her/his personal life and within the community. Surpassing yourself, respecting rules and others, solidarity... are all engaging and unifying themes that will be at the heart of discussions.
TUESDAY 29th and WEDNESDAY 30th of NOVEMBER from 9 am to 2 pm
During sporting and general knowledge events, the diplomatic representatives will challenge each other in altitude! Tasting of local products, slalom, snowshoe races, snow golf, biathlon, quizzes... will be planned during the 2 days.
FRIDAY 2nd of DECEMBER from 8.00 pm

A charity gala evening, whih will help raising funds for different organisations, will bring the SPORT VALUES International Meeting to a close, and will still reserve some wonderful surprises.
On Thursday 1st of December, sponsor one or more table of 8 people during the Charity Gala Dinner in Tignespace. Alongside an elite athlete and another guest, you will experience an enjoyable evening, both ethical and artistic, with 5 additional people of your choosing: suppliers, loyal customers, partners, friends or family…
The price of the table is set at € 3.000 (or for individual seats: € 300 per person).
All profits will be forwarded to organizations which use sport and its values as tools, and which dedicate their actions to helping children around the world, or war-wounded adults. Their works are remarkable and deserve to be encouraged.
