Tignes turned all yellow

In 2007, Tignes hosted for the very first time the most prestigious cycling race of the world: the 94th Tour de France!

> July 15th 2007: arrival of the 165km-long stage connecting Grand-Bornand and Tignes and going through the Cormet de Roselend and the Petit Saint-Bernard pass. The grand finale was indisputably the 18km-long ascent to the resort at an altitude of 2100m!

> July 16th 2007: rest day in the resort before the next start from Val d'Isère the following day, July 17th.


Before the Tour de France: AG2R and Tiscali teams trained in Tignes!

In June 2007, 5 of the best athletes of the Danish team CSC Tiscali, as well as the AG2R team, came to Tignes to scout the itinary of this 8th stage, one of the greatest of the 2007 Tour.
