My love-affair with Tignes began in 2009 at the Tignes Wild Golf event. At this time, the resort was already focused on the Tignespace project.
During this planning stage we worked together on a pre-season training camp, then a competition which brought the best French pole vaulters together in Tignes.
The Tignespace project instantly caught my attention. As a high-level athlete myself, I wholeheartedly supported the resort’s desire to develop top-quality projects for athletes.
The appeal of the complex is unquestionable. It is truly devoted to highlevel sports and its exceptionally high-quality facilities and capacity to offer almost every single sport, along with its proximity to ‘Le Lagon’ (aquatic centre) – ideal for the recovery sessions - means there is no European equivalent at this altitude (2100m)!
Tignespace is impressive and will become an established name: the sports facilities are gigantic, the work areas are well thought out and the complex as a whole is welcoming. To sum it all up, sportsmen and women will feel good here and will want to excel. We might even struggle to get them to leave!
