From the snowpark to Brévières – Tignes athlete and Slopestyle champion Julien Lange’s perfect freestyle – freeride cocktail
“My perfect ski day? Well it starts with a little warm-up session in the Tignes snowpark; a long and varied park which warms the legs up quickly... Then I head to the off-piste of the Chardonnet Bowl via the Grattalu chairlift. Fairly well-known, this backcountry itinerary offers many different variations. I’m rather partial to one that’s just on the right: easy access (little walking), big vertical and a really fun ski. After this I like the Vallons de la Sache off-piste, from the summit of the Aiguille Percée, which is one of the most beautiful and unusual features on the Tignes landscape. Here, the terrain is something else; big open spaces, a less impressive vertical drop but a long descent into a magnificent valley with stunning scenery. The magical moment for me? Entering the Brévières forest, where you need to be on the ball and super vigilant as the terrain changes constantly. Then I can relax and enjoy myself in this calm yet fantastic setting.”
