At more than 2 000 m, altitude is ideal for reaping all the benefits of oxygenation. As air pressure diminishes, oxygen becomes rarer.

After a few days, the human body adapts by producing more red blood cells. The circulation of oxygen in the blood becomes more efficient.

Once you return to your normal altitude, your endurance levels are significantly improved. It’s not surprising that many great athletes train in high altitude before important competitions.

Amongst the athletes and swimming clubs who trained in Tignes:

> Aqua Synchro Lyon, 3rd french club and Junior french team champions in 2014. They came for a intense training and for various mountain activities in TIgnes during August 2013 and 2014.
> AIDA France team (International Association for the development of  Apnea) (March 2014)
> Entente ASPTT & Société Natation Strasbourg (March 2014)
> Aqua Synchro Lyon (August 2013)
> Natation Sibennik (August 2013)
> Laurent Demola, president of the association "Un Jour la Vie" (March 2013)
